Description
Gate & General Information
- Daily Gate Fee: $10 per adult (Ages 13+)
- Kids 12 & Under: FREE
- Veterans, Military & First Responders: ALWAYS FREE
- Players & 3 Coaches per team: FREE
- No pets allowed (documented service animals permitted)
- No alcohol, smoking, or vaping allowed at any RBI event
Game Format
4-Team Round Robin Format:
- Each team plays 3 pool games (3GG)
- All teams play each other once
- Games can end in a tie
- Teams furnish 2 game balls
- Standings determined by a points system:
- Win = 50 points
- Tie = 25 points
- Loss = 10 point
6-Weekend Series (Season Format)
This event is part of an RBI 6-Weekend Series:
- All points earned each weekend will be tracked and totaled across the full series
- At the end of the 6 weekends, total points will determine:
- Series Champions
- Series Finalists
Awards:
- Champions & Finalists will receive Series Rings + Team Banners
The more weekends your team plays, the better your chances to climb the standings and win the series.
Game Rules
- 5U–10U: 7 runs per half inning
Time Limits
- 5U–10U: 1:00 game time
- No new inning after 55 minutes
Pitching Rules
Maximum pitches per event:
- 9U–10U: 75 pitches
- A pitcher may not return to the mound once removed in the same game
- No pitcher may pitch 3 consecutive days
- No pitcher may appear in 3 games in one day
Violations:
- Pitcher must be removed immediately upon notice
- Not a forfeit
Forfeits
- Teams should make every effort to start with 9 players
- Games may begin with 8 players (9th spot = automatic out)
- Games may finish with 8 players
- If no eligible substitutes:
- Vacated lineup spot = automatic out
- Intentional forfeits may result in removal from the tournament
- Tournament committee will review all forfeits
- All decisions are final
Forfeit Score:
- Winning team = average runs scored
- Losing team = 0
- Only the Tournament Director can declare a forfeit
Infield
- No infield practice allowed before games
Mercy Rules
- 20 after 2
- 15 after 3
- 10 after 4
- 8 after 5
Game Delays / Suspensions
- Games must resume within 1 hour of stoppage
If unable to resume:
- Game is official after 4 innings (3.5 if home team is ahead)
- 13U–14U: after 5 innings (4.5 if home team is ahead)
- Pool play games may end in a tie
- Tournament Director may extend delay time for:
- Lightning
- Field conditions
- Other circumstances
- Suspended games resume from point of stoppage
- If Championship play cannot be completed:
- Final placements determined by seeding & tiebreakers
Protests
- Judgment calls cannot be protested
- Allowed protests:
- Pitching violations (non-Playbook events)
- Roster violations
- Roster violations are not automatic forfeits
- Player verification is based on name + birthdate
- Uniforms and jersey numbers are not violations
- Protests must be filed:
- Before the next pitch, or
- Before time expires
- No protests after game is final
- Committee decisions are final
Scoring & Lineups
- Both teams should keep a scorebook
- Home team is the official scorekeeper in Playbook
Behavior at the events:
RBI has a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY towards disrespectful, adverse, and/or abusive behavior. Any fan, parent, player, or coach will be ejected from the event for any disrespectful or abusive behavior at our events. We will not subject children to dangerous or abusive behavior from anyone at our tournaments!
No alcohol or smoking (vaping) allowed at our events.
Rain Out: ANY WEEKEND AFFECTED BY WEATHER
We will contact teams via email immediately of any changes that weather changes cause. It is up to the field maintenance crews on site to determine if the fields are fit for play or not. RBI has always, and will always make every effort to ensure the teams get as much play time as possible, but we have to follow the determination of the field maintenance crews.If we cancel we will give teams the option to move to a make up weekend at the end of the summer series
